Your Library Account

Eligibility

Lakeland students, faculty and staff as well as community residents are eligible for Lakeland Library Accounts. The Library uses the Lakeland ID Card as a Library card. Community users are issued a Lakeland ID number and given a Community Borrower's Card.

Student Accounts

Students must present the Lakeland ID Card to check materials out of the library. The library account allows you to borrow library or OhioLINK materials and to access the OhioLINK Research Databases from off campus. Accounts are valid for one year.

To update your account, present your Lakeland ID at the circulation desk in the library or call (440) 525-7424.

Faculty/Staff Accounts

A Lakeland ID, valid Ohio Driver License or Ohio State ID is required to borrow materials from the library. The account allows you to login to OhioLINK to borrow materials or to access the OhioLINK Research Databases from off campus.

  • Full-time faculty/staff accounts are valid for one year from date of activation.

  • Part-time faculty/staff accounts are valid for the semester they are teaching/working.

To update your account, present your Lakeland ID at the circulation desk in the library or call (440) 525-7424.

    Community Residents

Community borrowers need to apply in person and present a valid State of Ohio Drivers License or State of Ohio ID. A Lakeland "Community Borrower's Card" will be issued. Present this card when borrowing materials. Community users may borrow Lakeland Library materials and OhioLINK books, place ILL requests, use Library equipment and OhioLINK databases in the Library. Community users are invited to attend Library programs and participate in the Library Book Discussion Group.

To update your account, please present a valid State of Ohio Drivers License or State of Ohio ID at the circulation desk.
